About us

The history of Eat & smoking-lounge Shiva dates back to 1995. In this year a beginning was established, formally known as the “frontroom”.
Between 1997 ad 2001 several home improvements were made which made it able to develop a complete catering facility. Early 2003 the last improvement was made and thats how Shiva is today.

With these developments the Koestraat received a unique catering facility in the parameter, on which Tilburg can be proud of. Shiva has an unique atmosphere, and aside from other coffeeshops it has a wide range of other possibility’s. You can hang out, have a delightful cop of coffee or a little snack. Aside from that Shiva is the location to have a little break or even have lunch. A huge variety of playable games is present for all kinds of people. In short Shiva is a meeting spot for many.

From pinball to board games

At Shiva there is a huge diversity of playable games. From a pinball machine to a digital game table. On this game table you can find games like Ludo and Triktrak but also card games like Space towers and Eleven. To offer a bigger diversity and keep the cosiness optimal we also have classical board games like Monopoly and Ludo. Come sit inside and ask for the the many varieties of games we have.

Aside from beverages and coffee, you are also able to eat something at Shiva. We are continuously busy improving the menu to deliver a broad scale for our diversity of consumers. Do take a look at our current menu and who knows maybe there is something in there for you.
